About

Cody Brayshaw is a Theatre Designer originally from Saskatchewan. He received his BFA Honours in Theatre Design at the University of Saskatchewan in 2024 under the training and mentorship of Ken MacKenzie and Carla Orosz. Cody is entering his first year in the MFA Theatre Design program at the University of Alberta. His practice and research is mainly focused on sustainability in theatre and ecoscenography, and he is passionate about exploring new sustainable materials, design for deconstruction, and reducing the waste and environmental impacts of theatre and other art forms.

Cody has created works with numerous theatre companies within Canada, including Persephone Theatre, 25th Street Theatre, La Troupe du Jour, and most recently the Shaw Festival. He is a founding member of the Saskatoon-based Theatre Collective Two Good Shoes Theatre, and was the Producer, Co-Creator, Director and Designer of their award-winning Fringe Festival production of The Mooneaters by Lauren Griffin.
